Editor's Guide

  • Editor will allocate the manuscript to an Associate Editor (AE) who in turn allocates the manuscript to reviewers. Upon agreement/availability of a minimum of 3 reviewers, the AE will produce the list to the Editor who will confirm the decision. Once the Editor confirmed his decision, AE will mail the manuscript and review form to the reviewers.
  • Editor should make sure that the manuscript is reviewed by one Indian reviewer, one Foreign reviewer and one Guest Reviewer.
  • Editor must aspire to achieve a positive suggestion before recommending a manuscript for acceptance. Manuscripts should have strong positive reviews in order to be accepted and in case of less-favourable reviews, it must be dealt with a reconsideration and resubmission process, or through additional reviews.
  • Manuscripts lacking positive reviews will not be requested for resubmission.
  • Editor can demand for the scientific opinion of reviewers who are well-versed in the area of research and development covered by the manuscript. Also from the guest reviewers, editor can demand for the comments regarding the applicability, presentation, etc.
  • Before sending reviews to the authors, AEs must make sure that the reviews are suitably anonymous.
  • The reviewers can act only as an advisory, and the final decision regarding a manuscript is the responsibility of the Editor.

Author's Guide

Authors are requested to submit only manuscripts that have been carefully analyzed, organized, proofread and spell checked. Before submission please make sure that your manuscript is prepared using the manuscript preparation template (single-column). This will ensure fast processing and rapid publication.

The SIJ invites contribution in the following categories:

  • Research article.
  • Survey/Review article (Complete review on a specific topic).
  • Tutorial paper (Emphasize the basic concepts of either popular and widely applied or new and promising technology. Normally, tutorial paper assumes its audience is inexpert).
  • Extended version of conference or journal paper.

Instructions :

  • Prior Publication Policy - The manuscript should contain unique and innovative material that has not been previously published in a journal, nor is currently under review by another conference or journal. If the manuscript is accepted for publication in our journals, it must not be published in any periodical(s) elsewhere without the permission of the editorial board.
  • Plagiarism - Plagiarism is the copying of others concept, text, data and other creative work (e.g. figures, tables and charts) and presenting it as original research without proper citation. Before submitting your manuscript, please make sure that the manuscript is plagiarism free.
  • Manuscript Length - Papers must be written in English, not exceeding 15 pages (single-column), including text, figures and references. (Typically, readers are comfortable with manuscripts of length less than 10 pages).
  • Extended version of conference or journal paper - If the manuscript is an extended version of a conference or journal paper, footer needs to be added to the manuscript with the conference title or journal paper link. Manuscript should contain at least 30% new material, and the manuscript should clearly cite the prior publication and state what is new in the extended version. It is permitted to include only enough material from the published paper to set the context.
  • During indexing process the authors' names as given in the final manuscript will be considered.
  • Suggest Reviewers (Optional) - Author(s) have the option to suggest reviewers. Please read the conflict of interest guidelines in selecting reviewers; they are based on the National Science Foundation guidelines.
  • Download the manuscript preparation template. (Papers need to be submitted in Single-Column MS Word format with file extension .doc or .docx).
  • After review process, the corresponding author has to submit the revised manuscript within 4 days together with the Scanned copy of Copyright Form and payment proof to thesijjournals@gmail.com. If the revised manuscript, copyright form and payment proof are not received within 4 days, it will be considered withdrawn.
  • Before publication, a sample final copy will be sent to corresponding author's email for confirmation. If there is any correction in alignment or spelling mistake, the author has to reply within 4 days (There is no possibility to change anything in title, methodology or results after double-blind peer-review process). If there is no reply from the author, then it is confirmed that the sample copy is final.

Reviewer's Guide

All selected reviewers must adhere and follow the guidelines formed by The SIJ Editorial Board.

  • Associate Editor (AE) will send the manuscript to selected reviewers based on the reviewer’s area of interest. Guest reviewers will be selected based on the relevance of manuscript’s application. Reviewers should reply within 2 days to confirm their acceptance for reviewing the manuscript. In some cases, AE itself will act as one reviewer.
  • Reviewers should critically review the allocated manuscript in a given duration of time frame (2 days).
  • Reviewers are required to perform full double-blind international peer review process to ensure the quality review. The review process is double-blinded; that is, the reviewer does not know who the manuscript author(s) is and the author(s) does not know who has reviewed the manuscript.
  • The entire review feedbacks must be written in English using the review form.
  • Reviewers must emphasize the parts of submitted manuscripts that need modifications from authors.
  • Reviewers do not require to verify grammar, spelling and presentation, eventhough comments are always welcome. If any part is not understandable, then please comment on that part.
  • All comments are confidential, reviewers name will not be revealed to the authors and other 2 referees. The review form contains a space for confidential comments to the Editors.
  • If reviewers find any manuscript appropriate for publishing, but the presentation and English is not standard enough to publish then negative remarks should be given to enhance the quality of manuscripts.
  • Editorial board has every right to ignore any suggested changes by reviewers and their verdict should not be ruled out by reviewer.

There are five options for classifying a manuscript: accept with no revision, accept with minor revision, accept with major revision, reject but encourage revision & invite resubmission, reject.

Reviewer suggesting either major revision or resubmission needs to provide accurately what the authors require to modify in their manuscript. When the manuscript is resubmitted it will be evaluated by AE based on the review comments, if AE found any difficulty then the same reviewer will evaluate the manuscript again.

The SIJ looking for qualified researchers as members of the editorial board. The SIJ will provide as a great source of information for researchers, industrial experts and students. We encourage interested candidates to join in our editorial board by sending their complete information to thesijjournals@gmail.com.
